Heat pump is a refrigeration system that uses the heat released by the condenser to provide heat, and is defined as a refrigerator that realizes the conversion of the functions of the evaporator and the condenser.
Heat pump works on the principle of the reverse Carnot cycle, providing both heating and cooling.
There are many types of heat pumps, which are divided into the following types according to the heat exchange medium of the evaporator and condenser:
Air to air heat pump, air to water heat pump, water to water heat pump, water to air heat pump, soil to air heat pump, soil to water heat pump.
- Air-to-air heat pump: Use the outdoor air heat source to generate the hot and cold air needed indoors (household air conditioners, roof air conditioners).
- Air-water heat pump machine: uses air as the heat source to produce hot or cold water for the air conditioning system (air heat source heat pump cold and hot water machine).
- Water-water heat pumps use ambient water (groundwater, rivers, rivers, seawater, etc.) as a heat source to produce hot and cold water for air conditioning systems.
- Water-air heat pump machine: use ambient water and circulating water as the heat source to generate the cold and heat sources required by the room
Air source heat pump cold and hot water units are mostly used in office buildings, hotels, hospitals, factories, residences, greenhouses, etc.
In projects of different scales in all walks of life, the market share is relatively high, because it has many advantages:
- Heating in winter, cooling in summer, installed indoors, no need for additional space, saving a lot of construction area.
- No cooling water loss, saving investment and operating costs.
- No smoke, no cooling water, the system is safe and hygienic.
- Less equipment, centralized installation, easy to manage and maintain.
- The units have complete specifications and different sizes, which is conducive to the detailed division of the system.
- High COP value.
